ROBERT WALKER, clarinet

Robert Walker is currently a proud member of The Louisville Orchestra, employed in the position of 2nd/Eb Clarinet. Originally from New York City, he is now happily resettled in Louisville, living in the Highlands. Walker began his formal training in music at the age of 10, displaying a keen interest in both clarinet and composition. These two disciplines have occupied his attention ever since. Before moving to Louisville, he worked as an archivist in St. Louis; received multiple degrees in music; appeared with numerous professional orchestras, including the Saint Louis and Grant Park Symphony; delivered flowers; was an elevator operator; assisted a Hollywood film composer; and worked as an apprentice grounds-keeper in Manhattan, and Fire Island, NY.
