Community Partnerships

The Louisville Orchestra partners with a variety of community, health and education organizations to provide opportunities for all ages and abilities to enjoy our music and our musicians.

The LO continues our long-standing partnership with the Heuser Hearing & Language Academy supported by the Wood Foundation. This partnership provides musicians on a monthly basis to introduce children ages 3-5 to musical instruments along with a music therapist.

Arts and Healing

The LO is also partnering with healthcare organizations to provide LO musicians to perform in public spaces. Began in 2015/16 and supported by the Kentucky One Healthcare Foundation and Norton Healthcare Foundation, LO musicians have performed at designated locations at a variety of sites through these healthcare networks. New partnerships and locations will be added in 2016/17 to continue this exciting program.
