KATIE PEABODY

Louisville native Katie Peabody is a lifelong musician. Along with music, she enjoys metalsmithing (Little Scorpion Studio) and practicing the art of Collodion Tin Type Photography. Known for her haunting old-time ballads, Katie has performed as “Song Crow” on The Hundred Proof Fountain ArtXFM radio, and she was the recipient of the Charlie Whitaker Memorial apprenticeship from Cowan Creek Mountain Music School where she studied with Kentucky fiddle Master John Harrod. She performs with the old-time string band The Kentucky Roundups as lead fiddler. Her current project, Katie Peabody & The Old Reliable, brings honky-tonk classics to life with her emotionally driven vocals against electronic elements, earning her the title “The Queen of Omnichord.”
