We open our Season celebrating many things Kentucky in this concert featuring composers, performers, and compositions related to our great Commonwealth! Included in the program is Murray, KY’s favorite son, mandolinist extraordinaire Chris Thile, who gives the Kentucky debut of a piece for mandolin and orchestra. We also take you back to an Appalachian Spring with Aaron Copland, and spotlight works by Louisville’s Valerie Coleman and Creators Corps veteran Lisa Bielawa. We top it all off with a nod to horses and their riders everywhere with Rossini’s William Tell Overture.
