His Symphony No. 6 has enigmatically been nicknamed “Tragic” – but not by the composer.  It is, however, admittedly by Mahler, a very personal expression of his own life – a life that frequently fluctuated between immense joy and melancholy. You won’t want to miss witnessing what “dropping the hammer” can mean in classical music or this composer’s romantic and emotional look at life.
