- 1st Place: MAYA KILBURN performing Sibelius: Violin Concerto, Mvt 1
- 2nd Place: NATHAN SHEPHERD performing Hummel: Concerto for Bassoon, Mvt 1
- 3rd Place: KRISTY KIM performing Saint-Saens: Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso in A Minor
Established in 1942, the Young Artist Concerto Competition presented by the Association of the Louisville Orchestra is open to students in grades 5 to 12 who are currently studying with teachers in Louisville or surrounding Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio counties within a 125 radius of Louisville.
Participants must perform (with accompanist) one memorized movement from the recommended concerto repertory list* for the Division Auditions and, if they are selected to proceed, at the Finalists Recital.
*Prior to application, participants may request to play a concerto not included on the repertory list. Requests will be considered and participants notified of the committee decision.

Audition times will be emailed to participants.
Division Auditions: Saturday, November 14, 2020 :: 9AM to 1PM
Finalists Recital: Saturday, November 14 from 2PM to 5:30PM in Comstock Hall, University of Louisville
Participants must be available for both the Division Audition and the Finalists Recital dates to be eligible.

1. Strings: Grades 5 to 8
2. Strings: Grades 9 to 12
3. Piano & Harp: Grades 5 to 8
4. Piano & Harp: Grades 9 to 12
5. Wind & Percussion: Grades 9 to 12
Up to three finalists from each Division may be selected to perform at the Finalists Recital.
Each Division is limited to twenty (20) participants determined by date-of-receipt of completed applications.
AWARDS:
All participants receive written comments from the competition judges.
Division winners will advance to the Finalists Recital; receive $50 award and a voucher for two tickets to a Louisville Orchestra concert.
Young Artist Competition Winners of the Finalist Recital:
First Place Winner: “Performance Award” — an invitation to perform as soloist with the Louisville Orchestra; $750 award and two Classics Series season subscriptions to the Louisville Orchestra.
Second Place: Finalist certificate; $500 award and two Classics Series season subscriptions to the Louisville Orchestra
Third Place: Finalist certificate; $500 award and two Classics Series season subscriptions to the Louisville Orchestra
