THU 2 JUL at 8PM :: Enjoy the Louisville Orchestra on the air!
90.5 FM WUOL Classical Louisville presents a broadcast series of past LO performances on Thursdays at 8pm hosted by Daniel Gilliam.
“TCHAIKOVSKY PIANO CONCERTO” — This week’s broadcast concert of the Brown-Forman Classics Series was performed on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at The Kentucky Center, Louisville KY.
Highlights: Opening with a rarely-heard Overture by a remarkable Polish woman, this program could be considered a survey of music of Eastern Europe. International super-star, Andrew Von Oeyen created magic at the keyboard for us. Plus, guest conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong delivered a powerful and moving account of this emotional symphony, which premiered after the death of Joseph Stalin.
FRANCESCO LECCE-CHONG, conductor
ANDREW VON OEYEN, piano
