CLASSICS: FROM THE NEW WORLD

Saturday, September 28, 2019 8:00pm

Event Description

28 SEP 2019 :: Featuring the sweeping melody that inspired the song “Goin’ Home,” this symphony is a beloved masterpiece. Did you know that the Bohemian composer Antonin Dvorak was inspired to write this symphony because of correspondence with a Louisville woman? Read more about that fascinating story here.

Our guest soloists were noted by New York City classical radio WQXR as “19 for 19” notable musicians to watch. These young influentials are changing the future of symphonic music with premieres, outreach activities, and by building connections with music lovers around the world. See the future on our own stage in a very special opening night concert.
