AMERICAN SALUTE – Glasgow Concert on the Square

Wednesday, June 29, 2022 7:30pm

Event Description

The Louisville Orchestra is pleased to present “American Salute,” a free, outdoor concert for the whole family in the Glasgow Square (Glasgow, KY) on Wednesday, June 29 at 7:30 pm (Central Daylight Time). A Glasgow tradition since 1999, this concert is now back and better than ever. The Louisville Orchestra will perform under the leadership of Jason Seber who currently serves as Associate Conductor of the Kansas City Symphony.

Celebrating Independence Day, the Orchestra performs patriotic selections including the “Star-Spangled Banner”, Washington Post March, The Armed Forces Salute, and Stars and Stripes Forever. Family favorites include music from the movies E.T., Jurassic Park, and Lincoln. A special tribute to veterans is featured in the “Armed Forces Salute,” which showcases the official marchpasts/songs of the 6 services of the United States military branches.

Bring the lawn chairs and blankets for the whole family to enjoy the performance. Broadway the Clown makes an appearance to add to the fun. Plus, food and beverages will be available for purchase at locations around Glasgow Square. Come early as seating is limited.

Relax and enjoy music under the stars as we celebrate Independence Day and summertime fun with our families and neighbors as the Louisville Orchestra comes to Glasgow, KY.
The event is made possible by the Concert on the Square Committee.
